Elisenvaara-Pieksämäki (Spatial disconnections #1: recently closed railway line) is an artistic research project into the site of a railway that has been disconnected by the nation-state borders of Finland, the delocalization of manufacturing and the transformations in transportation. On the 28th of June in 2018, the “recently closed railway” was reclaimed by a draisine. The video fragment is juxtaposed with the local experiences of the site in a live narration performance by the members of Other Spaces collective.
